    吉尔特·霍夫斯泰德(Geert Hofstede),于荷兰代尔夫特理工大学获得机械工程学位。于格罗宁根大学获得社会心理学博士学位。在荷兰的多家企业担任过技术和管理职务。后来进入IBM欧洲公司,创建了人事研究部并担任主任。  他的学术生涯开始于洛桑的国际管理学院(IMD),后来加盟法国枫丹白露的lNSEAD商学院、布鲁塞尔的欧洲高级管理学院、卢森堡的国际应用系统分析研究所、荷兰的马斯特里赫特大学。他在马斯特里赫特大学教授组织人类学和国际管理,直到l993年退休。是跨文化合作研究所(IRIC)的创始人和首任主任。  他的著作有17种语言的版本。文章发表在世界各地的社会科学和管理学期刊上。他位居社会学科引文索引(SSCl)中被引用次数最多的100位学者之列,是享此殊荣的极少数的非美国人之一。他是美国管理学会(AOM)会士,享有欧洲四所著名大学的荣誉博士学位...(展开全部)
